Some people say that if there is an all-powerful God out there, He has long abandoned the human race. And sometimes, I don't doubt it; after all, we're human-- mere sacks of flesh, bones, and insecurities. We're selfish, jealous, and filthy things. And it makes me scared for the future. But sometimes, I think things will be okay-- even if there are no gods, or angels, or miracles. Because we're human-- and sometimes, we are able to forget for just a little while about our own limits and insecurities to don our figurative wings and halos and do something completely selfless. And when we have each other and this great thing called compassion, we don't even need real angels.

Beautiful and - if I have to be honest - if you submitted the description separately, as a deviation, I'd probably fav it too. It's really touching and sounds like something taken out from a book.
